Crushing
Crushing is the mechanical action of fractioning minerals into smaller pieces. Minéraux Mart Inc. owns four complete crushing systems, allowing the production of a variety of particle size distributions, varying between 100 mm and 0.2mm. Accordingly, more than 40 000 tons of alloys (FeSi, MgFeSi, SiMn, FeMn etc.) are crushed annually at Minéraux Mart. We process all inoculants as well as all the MgFeSi produced by Elkem’s plant in Chicoutimi.
